Vancouver Island for the 3rd Time...

I am very happy that this is becoming a habit because it is such a fabulous trip. Heading up the Strait of Georgia, along Johnstone Strait, going round the corner of Cape Scott and past Solander Island and Brooks Peninsula - what an amazing experience. Each year has different people and different stories, this year will be no different.

The central and southern sections are a natural wonder as well but different than the northern. 14 days and 750 miles, can't wait.

A bit too soon to look at the weather as it could change a lot. Last year there were 2 weather experts on board so that was no issue en route.

Wildlife sightings have been special as well - Dall's Porpoises, Gray Whales, Humpbacks and in the first year numerous sightings of Orca. This year who knows?

We will be doing as much Celestial Navigation as people can stand, all four students this year seem up for it. So my goal will be to keep it simple and approachable.

Where will we be going to? The usual suspects with maybe a new spot or two thrown in. I wouldn't mind going to Kyuquot or Friendly Cove but that may be hard to do as the usual stops have always been very special places to go to. Maybe 3 weeks are needed to do this trip properly.
